Forum54 Dinner - Chicago 2002

Sorry it took me so long to put this up but here are affix pictures from our Forum get together at the national.

On Thursday night a group of us got together at Gibson's to have dinner and meet face-to-face. Naturally the group ended up at the bar at Leon;s hotel until the wee hours of the night - er, morning.

1st Annual(?) Forum54 Dinner Attendees:

Standing: Scott Brockelman, Tim Sedlock, Scott Forrest, Leon Lucky, Me(Peter Calderon)

Front Row : Steve Lucas, Lee Behrens, Brian Hodes

The weather in Chicago was perfect that week. Scott was generous enough to let us all meet at his table at the show. For the first time I can say I was glad to have a cell phone. It really came in handy. I think everyone had a good time at dinner that night getting to know everyone. Everyone brought their prize catches of the day for all to drool over. I would have to say Leon won that contest.

The best part of the national was meeting everyone. In addition to the Forum guys I had the chance to see Andy Baran again and got my "Old Judge" newsletters back, Tom Bobbitt, Jim Clarke, Dan McKee, Mike Wheat, "billjo", Doug Allen and Kevin Struss, and others.

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet Lew Lipset and John Spencer. John, I missed you a couple times by a few minutes.

For the vintage collector, this is the s addest observation made at the National: "I saw some guy looking through a box of 1985 Topps cards looking to upgrade his set."– By Lee

Leon Lucky (left) missing his wife at home after looking the painting behind him.

Scott Brockelman (right) listening intently to the waiter describing the specials of the day - or - one of Scott Forrest's T206 printing theories. ;-)

From right:

Brian Hodes reading from the salad list, just kidding, Tim Sedlock demonstrating how to properly tone those arm muscles doing a 12oz. curl, Scott Forrest and Steve Lucas thinking how they would love to join that gym.

Saturday Night in Wrigleyville.

Unfortunately, no one got the phone number of the young lady who took our picture.
